Worst hunter ever.

Are you going full time content creator? I’ve noticed a huge uptick in videos as of late and was curious

going to skip this game since i don't like games that has a monthly subscription (starting when it leaves EA).

At 5:12 you said you would show how to do the macro in the pinned comment, i think that macro would be very useful and would love to know how to do it since all i use macros for are chat

Honestly I think the new job thing is about to end...I mean yea it has to be or they are going to have to make some changes for sure. I think mch is easy and a bit op in low lvl synced content. Yea they do that everytime the new jobs always seem a bit op when first released.

I know it'll NEVER happen but I would love to have a 'Freelancer' job where you could chose two already existing jobs and get a small handful of abilities from said jobs along with exclusive Freelancer skills that change based upon which jobs you've chosen. For example, say you picked Bard+Black Mage. Some Freelancer combination abilities could be that now you can enchant your arrows to cause burning, slow, or shock. An AoE volley skill could set the ground ablaze, etc. The shared non-freelancer skills wouldn't be as useful on their own since they lack the rest of the individual job's kit but could open up new ways to use old spells. (I don't remember if Freeze was an AoE root for Thaumaturge/Black Mage but I do remember it not being used often. Perhaps with the ability to create an AoE fire field with those burning arrows the spell now sees a use since you could lock them in place for a bit to make sure they stay in that field.)

If I main heal, will these targeting tips help or hurt me? I’m all for making targeting the enemy easier, but I am worried I won’t be able to target my allies to heal them. I normally hit directional up and down to cycle thru the party members

Pasting is useful for market board where you can copy an item name. Oddly, you can highlight text but there isn't an easy way to copy. Sadly, there is also no built in virtual keyboard on PC.

GENTLEMEN, I am here to spread some good news. I was very very hestitant to jump into this game. I read the reviews. I am as non bias as it gets. With that said ive really enjoyed it so much. Im almost to the level cap and tbh i wasnt sure why it was getting so much hate. Try it for yourself youll be surprised.

I don’t really understand the price point of this game. I do understand the loyal fan base or people hyped to the game will buy it, but the game is not large enough any more to price it at 59.99.

I love the guide, but is there anywhere either in this guide or another one where you go more in-depth on how to set up micros for a first time user. I've been playing for years and following your controller layouts, but I have no clue how to set up micros, lol.

While this is a very viable controller setup (and my first setup was similar), I've realised it's not very movement friendly. I had to change the positions of my spells to the dpad and insta-casts to the other buttons. This allows me to seamlessly cast motifs outside of battle while moving, and to use my insta-casts when movement is required. Better for me, personally.

Very helpful video, but i dont understand why you put so much instant spells on the d-pad / casting spells on action buttons. Since you cant move while clicking on casting spells (except under swiftcast ofc) wouldnt be easier to put them on d-pad instead? Will not require to claw for movement phases. Anyway good job

my group loving it. most beautiful photo realistic world I've ever seen in an MMO. Yes the crafting is grindy, will be much more fun if you play with friends and split the work up. you should do your homework, it's not for everyone.

I don't really plan on playing picto. but I have always loved your guides, so I watch each and every one that you have put out and share them with my friends that play on controller. but as always awesome work, keep it up!

It’s interesting most critiques on 14 or mmos in general is: “they need to do x style of mechanic/gameplay”, instead of why they can’t. Because those “great” ideas have always been around but it makes you wonder why most don’t do them. I think thats a more interesting question.

Having an odd bug with my Xbox Elite Series 2 - my left joystick has a weird hitch and character begins to walk. Gone through two controllers with the same issue. Could it be a dead zone issue?

I'm loving Picto and especially on the controller it's great. It's so much cleaner with less clutter, I only need the main bar and the two double tap bars. Put the 2 normal spells and inverse on the right ABXY. Hammer, Mog of Ages, holy, and meteor on right dpad. Put the motiffs on left ABXY, Muses on left d pad. Everything is perfect. Double tap right has my smudge, subtractive, and tempura on ABXY and rainbow drip and star prism with the d pad. Double tap left has the normal class stuff like addle, sleep, Swiftcast, lucid dreamign, and sure cast. Limited break as well.

Don't know if anyone else has asked but have you figured out how to split stacks with the controller? I've been trying to figure out how to do it all day with no luck and can't find anything online about how to do so.

I wanted to play this on Xbox , but a 30$ sub fee is too steep

annoying that the controller seems to have downgraded in dawntrail ~ can now only walk or run using a dualsense controller, so all the analogue control is gone. :(
